Calgary Stampeders released the following players from the roster:
AJ (Anton) Lindsay (Defensive Line)
Ryan Cubit (Quarterback)
Rodney McCarter (Defensive Back)
Jim Davis (Defensive Line)
Adrian Ward (Linebacker)
All five players were 2007 free agent signings. Unfortunately you can't carry four quarterback which is too bad. Ryan Cubit did display some good moments during preseason action but it wasn't enough in the end. Barrick Nealy will be the third stringer.
Rumors out of Calgary also pin import Brian Clark as the next LB to be on his way out. The CFL 'must have Canadians' rule will put Scott Coe in front of him. With Clark's 100 000 pay check chances are he will be cut despite his abilities.
