Two weeks ago veteran linebacker Brian Clark was released by the Stamps. Today, non-import Canadian Scott Coe was given his walking papers. Both linebackers were once feared linebackers in the league, now it seems the new 4-3 defensive scheme and salary issues forced the team to let them go.
It's sad to see the mainstays take off, it really signals more of the 'new regime'. But at the end of the day, housecleaning means a potentially better team tomorrow. Let's hope that's the case.
Scott Coe Stats
Drafted by Hamilton in the fifth round of the 2002 CFL Draft, Coe, who played at the University of Manitoba, played two seasons with the Tiger-Cats before joining the Stampeders as a free agent in 2004.
