Anthony Gargiulo, a linebacker from last year's Stamps, announced his retirement after only one season of play. The move comes after Gargiulo's receipt of a devastating and dirty chop block from the BC Lions Jason Jimenez. The retirement permits his return if he can heal from the broken leg and also clears cap room for the Stamps. The Stamps to hold onto his rights should he come back.
The CFL's incompetence with replay systems and unwillingness to lend the severity of the officials on-field call meant that, in an absurd process, Jimenez was never suspended.
