Before we start, just a reminder to Roughrider fans you're not making the playoffs. Haha.
Moving on.
Drew Tate made his first CFL start and had a strong 3 quarters to lead the Stamps to victory.
Calgary didn't put up any points in the first quarter, but Tate moved the offence and looked sharp. All eyes would be looking squarely on the QB to see how he'd fair this late in the season in his first chance to lead the offence for 60 minutes.
IN the second quarter he didn't disappoint racking up 17 points with a sweet scramble pass to Landen Talley for a major.
The defence continued to struggle to stop opposing offences from eating up yards. Big throws, a better defence on the run, but overall more questions than answers there.
Special teams non-existent other than Paredes still on his streak of miss one make one.
Tate for his part tapered off in the last quarter throwing 2 interceptions late. The question is whether he can lead the team to victory in the playoffs. Burris has struggled there, but is it Tate's time. I'm not sure if he's done enough to warrant cutting Bruris a la Reynolds 2 games befor ethe playoffs.
What do you think? Will Burris get back in for Montreal next week?
Notes: Greg Fassitt out with a leg injury. Tate announced as started for Montreal, we'll see how he does against better competition. Next week should be interesting.
