Elijah Thurmon has been released from the Calgary Stampeders. With the arrival of high profile Canadian receiver Ryan Thelwell and WR Marc Boerighter, something was going to give in the receivers corps.


Thurmon joined the Stampeders on March 27, 2006 as a free agent. In 2006 he recorded 57 receptions for 728 yards and five touchdowns. Thurmon also spent two seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and on the practice roster for the Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles after attending Howard University.

Singh Arrives, Robertson Departs to Argos

With newly arrived Singh passing his physical, Calgary shipped off the younger Taylor Robertson from the O-Line to the Toronto Argonauts in exchange for a first round pick in this year's draft. The addition of Singh in the line-up gives us more experience in the front. The return of a first round pick is questionable given the talent pool of this year's college draft.
