The Calgary Stampeders released the following players today:

• Defensive end Anthony Gargiulo
• Receiver Chris Jackson
• Defensive back Willie Byrd
• Receiver Greg Hetherington
• Defensive tackle Marcus Parker

Originally injured, retired, then re-signed to test the leg, Garguilo fell short of his comeback with the Stamps after his devastating hit.

Parker has been added to the club’s practice roster.

The Stamps have added offensive lineman Jabari Levey, a product of University of South Carolina. The six-foot-five, 310-pound tackle attended training camp with the Oakland Raiders in 2006 and went to camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year.
